Suisse Adventure ‘09 is an action packed two-week international expedition to Kandersteg International Scout Centre, in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
It runs from Sunday 26th July – Saturday 8th August 2009, incorporating the Swiss National Day celebrations on 1st August.
There are 250 places open to Hampshire Explorers and Network, who must be aged 14 – 24 inclusive on 26th July 2009. Don’t forget that older Scouts who will be 14 by the time of the trip are also eligible, and should book through their local Explorer unit. On SA09 Leaders also count as participants and get to take part in the full programme!
We will be camping at the Scout centre along with other members of the Scout Association from all over the world, approximately 1500 people on Swiss National Day (more than the population of the whole village!)
The cost of this 2-week trip is £435 per person. This includes transport to and from Kandersteg, transport for all your camping and catering equipment, your camping fees, and an active 2-week programme. If you’re one of these people who doesn’t want a spare moment to yourself then extra activities can be added at additional cost.
Please note the event is self catered, so groups will need to budget for food separately.
SA09 is being run for groups to attend together. We are therefore asking that Explorers book as groups with their leaders accompanying them where possible. Network are also encouraged to book as groups, however individual bookings will be accepted.
To book simply complete a booking form and return to us before the end of the booking period (1/1/08 – 31/3/08). A non-refundable deposit of £100 per place is payable on booking.
Anyone aged 25+ wishing to attend can apply to attend as a staff member. If you are interested in being a staff member please complete a booking form, and you will be invited to attend a staff selection weekend. If you are unsuccessful in securing one of the staff positions your deposit will of course be fully refunded.
